Employers may request site specific training on various topics such as: fall protection; accident prevention; forklift training; personal protective equipment (PPE); and other OSHA regulated training. OSH-10 Training
AKOSH provides OSHA-10 training in Construction and General Industry for employers throughout Alaska. This 2-day course is offered to employers who require certification for their staff in the Construction or General Industry. Seafood training
AKOSH offers employers a free, 2-day seafood training session for supervisors and management personnel in the seafood industry. For more information about the next seafood training session or scheduling a seafood training session for your organization, please email AKOSH Training Coordinator Christian Hendrickson at christian.hendrickson@alaska.gov.

Youth Training
At no cost to the schools, AKOSH’s youth trainer conducts safety presentations and training exercises on the topics of general workplace safety and construction safety to high school students all across Alaska. If your middle or high school is interested in having a youth representative come to your school and speaks to students about workplace safety email the Youth Training Coordinator at Ashley.conley@alaska.gov.
Workplace Violence Training (WPV)
AKOSH offers Workplace Violence Prevention training. This training covers basic WPV prevention techniques and addresses concerns regarding the safety and protection of employees in case of a WPV event. Employers interested in scheduling a training session should email the AKOSH Training Coordinator, Ashley Conley at Ashley.conley@alaska.gov.
Understanding OSHA Rights Training
Job Safety and Health is the law. This 1 hour presentation discusses employees’ rights and employers’ responsibilities as defined by the 1970 OSHA Act. Employers interested in scheduling a training session should email the AKOSH Training Coordinator, Ashley Conley at Ashley.conley@alaska.gov.
